The full trail is about 5.8 miles. This is not including the hike up to the top of the light house. The top of the trail gets pretty steep so it's probably not best for smaller or older dogs. If you don't hike to the top the trail is pretty easy on level ground. Their are a few spots to stop and rest but make sure you take ALOT of water for you and the pup if you go when its warm. The guides recommend one gallon each and we drank every drop.
