100% Will go every year

This event was so fun! I’m upset we didn’t know about it earlier. All these dog lovers and their pups in one spot, plus delicious food trucks, adoptions, demonstrations from our K-9 Officers and costume contests? Um yes, I surely will be there every year!

Not what we expected, sadly

After reading other reviews, I’m very curious if we were put in a different wing. The hotel itself seems decent enough (the staff is very friendly!), but the wing we were put in (the pet-friendly wing) was dark and reeked of cigarettes. The room itself was not cleaned very well before we got there as the carpet was soaked with (what we assumed was) animal urine, a used hand towel was hung up (it had some sticky brown stuff on there), there was a used bar soap in the shower and some type of hair, crumbs and sticky substance on the desk chair. The smell of the room also smelled like cigarettes (it was non-smoking but maybe it was booked for smoking before?).

Also, instead of using the rocky grassy area in the front, we walked down to the little park which was much nicer! If you’re facing the road, it’s to the right past the glass building. I’m sad that we did not have the best experience. We really did like the staff!! (I’m sure we could have asked for a new room as we heard someone else do, but we just wanted to unpack and get on to our plans, so that’s kind of our fault in a way).

Love this dog park!

This was the first dog park we let our 5 1/2 month yorkipoo off the leash at so maybe I’m a little biased, but we thought it was great. The small dog area is for 25lbs and below which was ideal for us. The park in general is a great walk with our pup! (Only reason I deducted a point was because there don’t seem to be any working water fountains around which causes a small issue when you run out of water, so being extra!)
