We were introduced to this bakeries peanut butter dog cookies at the Boat House restaurant.
Our girl loved them so much we made a delay in leaving town to wait for the shop to open at 10 am. I’m glad we waited what a nice shop and owner . What a variety of pet supplies, with such a warm casual atmosphere .

We had a late dinner and the place was busy. Live music was great. Food was delicious. I had macadamia grouper he had the hanger steak. They made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The manager was so kind to Honey Bun he gave her a cookie that she went crazy about. He handed me another to give her I put it in my pocket for later. She wanted another so bad she dug at my pocket trying to get to it. The following day we went back to find out where he gets the cookies. Redbone Bakery. We made a point of picking her up a lb on our way out of town. The Boat House was the highlight meal of our trip.

We wanted a nice casual place to grab a bite. I loved the heaters were on during a cold day on the patio food was good. My grouper sandwich was right out of the fryer hot! Yum!
If anything I would have asked for a small dipping cup of the key lime sauce for my sandwich. It was a little light with the sauce. We loved being so near the beach and the casual comfort . Our dog was given water.

After making reservations by phone confirming a King suite we were in for a ride surprise. We stayed at the SpringHill Marriott 2/15-2/17. Upon arrival it was not clear by the signage which of the two entrances to go into. Apparently it’s two Marriotts in one building. At the desk, Richard promptly informed us we needed to go over to the other side as “dogs are not welcomed here.” We go to the other side to check in and are given two bottles of water and one cookie.
Upon arrival to our room we received two queens. Back out to the desk we were told “too bad we are sold out.” The following day after the majority of guests checked out, there was zero effort to rectify the situation by staff. Our room had a sandy floor, the walls hadn’t been cleaned, and the shower head was bent and rusting. The dog station is nothing but a pile of dirt, sand and weeds with a waste container. It’s the worst condition of a dog rest area I have seen. We called for maintenance the first night to get the satellite working so we could watch Netflix the guy put a work order in. The next afternoon it stormed so we were in the room, but nobody showed up to fix the issue.
The breakfast was rubber eggs, no biscuits, and the dredging of what looked like gravy. About 10 people were in line to make a waffle. It was a chaotic unorganized mess. Three young staff members were hanging around and chatting while tables were left stacked with dishes. The following morning my husband ordered from the other hotel. DO NOT order the avocado toast unless you enjoy a slice and a have of toast with a faint smidge of avocado spread. It was such a little amount you couldn’t taste it. But if you enjoy a pile of flake salt it was put on the bottom of the container.
I was over this place, as were other guests. The actual location was great, a short walk to the beach. The queen bed was clean. The price was $199 per night with a $100 pet fee and $30 parking fee. The warm welcome of Marriott was nowhere to be found.

nice staff, clean, water for the pup, good burgers for us.

January 15th it’s winter cold
the staff had closed the patio but accommodated us. We we’re very hungry and ate out on the unheated patio. The food was delicious.
the only wish we would have is that they could have tuned on one heater for us, service was a tad slow but food is the best we have had in Georgia so far .

we loved they let us inside on a freezing cold day. we liked the very low country vibe. it would be nice to sit out side in the spring or fall Im sure. service was timely.
I did not care for 1/2 of my shrimp not being properly cleaned so gross to me. potatoes were not cooked though. everything else pretty good not great.
not hot water in bathroom or deck faucets.

Good guacamole, my husband enjoyed his nachos my tacos were good not great. They were not busy. a staff person handed us one menu and said “ find a seat order here at the bar”, We were the only ones sitting outside.
We had to pay when we ordered.
After our food arrived we never seen another staff person.

Jack our waiter was great, the location was nice and clean. the food was ok not great. my husband’s pork was very dry, he said the best part of his meal was the potatoes. the chicken and waffles was light on the amount chicken like they cut a thigh in half and called it two pieces. waffles were ok nothing special.

It was just ok. They seated us inside with our pup, a couple minutes later another pup and younger couple was seated next to us.
The server brought their dog a bowl of water nothing for our pup. We had to ask for water for our pup, it came in a styrofoam cup.
Our food was just ok not bad, not great.
No treat for our pup was offered.
It was loud inside.

WIsh we had checked reviews first!
We had to sit outside on a picnic bench because we didn’t have six or people . They had plenty of open chairs at open outdoor tables but we were not allowed.
We were tired and famished.
Service : took forever, was spotty and the staff was very rude. I asked for my salad dressing from two other staff members as ours had not returned and they each stated “ Not my table I can’t help you” service had that kind of attitude start to finish.
Food: my husband said his mashed potatoes and the shrimp appetizer was the best part of his meal. The steak was nothing but ok , red rice and beans might have been reheated as it looked old.
I ordered the conch fritters they were soggy lumps of mush . My scallops were drowned in a ton of herb butter. My house salad was ok after a very long wait to get a bit of salad dressing.
Spend you 80$ elsewhere

If you like noise from the road and noise from the hallway, this place might be for you.
If you like blood stained wash cloths and body fluid stained pillows, you will love this place.
the non working phone and non working room clock, show a fine example of how bad a place it is.
If we hadn’t driven 11.5 hours after getting evacuated I would be walking out of this place.
Shame on Laquita and Wyndham.

Best place for food and drink with your pup that we have found in Summerville yet.

Not dog friendly, We stoped by fall 2018 and their patio had building materials including nails. They did offer to set a metal table up by the front door where everyone enters, exits and smokes.
We went there just the two of us last month no dog and it was a good breakfast.
