This was a surprise find in Camden, AR! They welcomed us into the patio and brought water for Dewey. I got the Speedy Gonzeles and my husband got the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla. Both were excellent. Coming from Texas, it’s hard to find good Mexican food anywhere else, especially in Arkansas. But this compares with some of our favorites in San Antonio. We’ll definitely be back next time we pass through.

We needed a place to eat lunch and found this lovely spot. The food was great and Dewey enjoyed the attention.

The entire place is dog friendly. The Dixie Cafe (also at Houmas House Plantation) allows dogs in the dining area. They have outside tables, but not outside service. If you choose to sit outside, you have to go in to check on your order and bus your own table. They also have a buffet (absolutely fabulous!). Carriage House is the same—outside seating but no outside service. Well worth the side trip. The grounds are beautiful.
