Good hike for puppies new to hiking
Pacific Crest Trail to Eagle RockDid this with our 9 month old Huskies. They've been on a few short hikes, but this was the first longer one. Not much in the way of elevation and trail was in good condition so a nice hike for them to stretch their hiking legs.
First half has quite a bit of tree cover. Second half is exposed, so be mindful of the heat/ sun/ elements. No water sources
I read that you park on the street (which we did) but noticed a small fenced parking area on the corner past the fire station.
About 8 miles (roundtrip). Fun hike. Remember to hike responsibly and pack out all trash- including poop bags. Wish there was a trash can around the trailhead. I used the dumpster at the fire station.
