The Lakefront Dog Walk Social
Mandeville LakefrontThe Mandeville Lakefront is one of the most scenic and inclusive dog friendly places on the Northshore. Though dogs are required to be leashed, there are dog stations provided at intervals all along the path, and there is no lack for dog sociability. Plenty of grassy spaces and paved paths for walking, romping, and exercise.
Stella loved it!
Waveland Bark ParkWe found this park on our way home from the beach. It was a great spot for her to dry off and drop some of the sand before driving home! Love the agility equipment and the large grassy fields. A great park, we will visit again!
Lots of trails
Northlake Nature CenterThis is a great place to walk your dog, with plenty of long trails to choose from. Parts of it are near the water, so bring mosquito repellent. The signs clearly lay out all the different trails. Some are exposed and very sunny, while some meander along under the trees. Bring your own water.
Awesome staff
Big Easy Pet Shop & RescueLocated in the heart of the city, Big Easy Pet Shop caters to pups and their parents with a charming and friendly atmosphere. Also the perfect place to reach out if you're looking to rescue a pet and give them a furever home.
Lots of space
Camellia City Bark ParkThere are two sides to the dog park, one for big dogs and one for little dogs. Both are grassy with lots of trees and benches for the humans. It doesn't seem very busy during typical working hours. There is water on site and doggie bags for clean up. There's also a nature trail behind the park.
