Great vibe, bathrooms could be cleaner
Hotel On NorthSuper cool hotel, but the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked. The shower needed a good scrubbing, there were long dark hairs in the shower and sink, and tiny pieces of toilet paper on the floor.
Loud party hotel
Hotel Indigo Cleveland Downtown, an IHG HotelGreat if you’re craving that Cabo/South Padre Island party vibe, especially around 1am. Not so great if you prefer sleeping. Also not great for pups who are scared of loud noises. Could hear everything sound from nearby rooms and the hall. No dedicated outdoor space. Taking pup for walk was basically like taking a stroll in Cleveland’s version of Times Square.
A bit dated, but super clean!
Courtyard by Marriott New Haven WallingfordDecor a bit dated, but in very good condition. Most importantly, it is spotlessly clean. No crumbs/debris on the floor even in those hard-to-reach nooks between the bed and wall. Also, lots of green spaces around the property.
Clean & Comfortable
Aloft Raleigh Durham Airport Brier CreekThe lobby has a college dorm feel, but room was super clean and oriented for business traveler with large bench and two desk/tables. Very pup friendly with lots of green space. One tip: stay on the hotel side of parking lot when going for walks. Apparently there may be snakes, perhaps even some venomous ones, as you get closer to wooded sides.
Clean, but not for skittish pups
Drury Inn & Suites Near Universal Orlando ResortThe good: clean and in a convenient neighborhood. The bad: a bit worn and dated. Avoid if your pup is scared of loud noises. This hotel is situated between a freeway and two main roads, where MANY cars with souped-up engines race by. There was even one that sounded like an automatic rifle. My guy was so scared that he couldn’t “go” and kept dragging me back to the front door.
Not the cleanest Aloft
Aloft Richmond West Short PumpOne of the best hotel chains, but this wasn’t the cleanest location. Bathmat had stain and it didn’t feel thoroughly cleaned between guests.
AVOID - filthy and gross!!!
Hilton Garden Inn NorwalkThe tiled portion of the floors clearly hadn’t been washed in days and the carpeted parts were worse. Two of the three lamps were also missing light bulbs.
