No park-under construction
Love's Travel StopDid not see the park, the gas station is under construction & they have construction equipment all around. There is a grassy area to walk your dog with poop bag dispensers.
Nice stop, check both gates
Love's Travel StopThe area was pretty clean, had some shade. There were no poop bags (I always bring my own).
The only concerning thing we saw was there are 2 gates & the second was open and didn’t latch super securely (secure enough but we didn’t let her go check it out just to be safe).
For humans the bathrooms were clean & staff was friendly
Used to be good
Katherine Ariens Dog Park at Edgewater Parkwe live near this park and used to go frequently however people stopped having control of their dog and don’t know what is & isn’t proper dog behavior. lots of fence fighting between big and small dog area, people think it’s cute & encourage it. people show up drunk or drinking. times best to go before 830a 12-3p after 7p (when it’s still light) bathrooms are usually clean! park is a nice size.
Good park
Brohard Paw Parkonly doing 4/5 stars bc of people not paying attention to their dogs.
beach is nice
board walk down to beach is nice
usually clean
dogs love to swim the beach!
it is NOT fenced so make sure your dog has some recall, leaving on a leash makes it harder for your dog and others.
some people think it’s ok to bring food to the DOG beach which causes issues bc some dogs are food aggressive
some dogs (usually medium-small dogs) guard their owners space they are sitting which causes fights.
best time to go is summer time before noon.
we don’t go during snowbird season bc of how many people there are.
BRING FRESH WATER FOR YOUR DOG
Great stop
Gatlinburg Dog ParkWe don’t typically stop at dog parks on our travels because we don’t trust other dogs but the fenced area at our cabin was a little steep and the dogs didn’t like it except to go potty. They needed to run so we went early to the park a couple times & they loved it. The poo was all picked up. the park appeared well maintained. Our bloodhound ran around full speed hollering because she was so excited to be sniffing in the cool air (we are from SW Florida) our girls were content after about 45 minutes. I’m impressed and recommend a stop!
Nice stop
Petro Ocalamake sure to check both gates are latched. the one on the truckers side wasn’t latched and our trip almost took a bad turn, also there were chicken bones that one of my dogs found and I had to dig out of her mouth.
bathrooms were super clean again & staff was super friendly!
Needs met
Love's Travel StopOur bloodhound & German shepherd mix were happy for this pit stop to potty, stretch legs and have their breakfast time. small area but it was just what we expected and needed. There was some trash on the ground along the fence line, no poop bags, however we only saw one pile someone didn’t pick up. The main thing that got me is we parked right in front of the gate and it smelled so badly of urine that I had to move the car before I gave them breakfast because it was making me gag. The urine smell is the main reason I did 4/5 stars. The park itself didn’t smell like that, just around the few parking spot right in front of the gate and in the gate area itself.
Perfect stay
Hampton Inn AdelWe adopted a new young dog in AL & needed a place to stay for the night. This place was perfect. Felt very clean, staff was very friendly. Off leash dog area was perfect size & perfect bc she didn’t want to potty on a leash & she was able to run around and get some energy out. Breakfast was also very yummy!
