Great short hike
Rosebrock ParkGreat place for a short hike with your dog. Not a whole lot of people there. Trails aren’t marked at every intersection but it’s not too difficult to figure out.
Spacious and Fun
Ashley River ParkThey have 2 dog parks in the park, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. they also have trails that are shaded and along the river. If you make the loop, you can get a mile and a half. It does cost $2 per car to get in, but if you’re a resident, you can buy a pass for $40 for the year. Great park with other things as well; playgrounds, fishing, pavilions, and a lot of open space!
Fenced in area
Love's Travel StopNice sized fenced in area for dogs who have troubles going to the bathroom on leash. Was a clean area as well and a place to throw away poop.
Okay Hotel
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lawton / Fort SillIt was an okay hotel. The staff was nice and gave my pup 2 treats. Good green space outside with a place to throw away poop. The room on the other hand was dirty, smelled musty, had sticky floors, and stains on the furniture.
Great Hikes
Garner State Parkour pup loved hiking and camping with us. please keep the dogs leashed. We had a run in with a male dog who wanted to get fresh with our girl. but every other dog that was saw was leashed!
Found a tick or bedbug
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham OKC North - Quail SpringsWe found a tick or a bedbug the next morning when we woke up. They gave us our money back, which is nice, but we would not recommend staying there. The carpets were ripped up and stained, as well as the towels. There were pieces of trash on the ground and it was covered in dust in the corners. There are grassy areas but I’d your dog has trouble going to the bathroom in an open area, it might not be best for you. Breakfast was fruit cups and individually packaged muffins. A very disappointing stay to say the least!
