Steph
3 year old Old English Sheepdog Olivia, loves long drives and long trails. I never seem to rest in restaurants but I'm quiet enough for mom and dad and sissy to get a bite, if the space is comfy and not too crowded.

Our best dog hotel experience ever
Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort an IHG HotelSome of the reviews here are baffling me.... did the negative ones really even stay here? We found the staff amazingly friendly and the environment SUPER friendly for dogs, the common areas are indoor outdoors and its spacious. Dogs can be in the restaurants, by the fire pits, by foosball, ping pong everywhere! And wifi was free for us (one review said it wasn't). The location and view were amazing and even the bathroom was great for cleaning dirty paws. Hubby and I are already planning when we can go back and bring friends.
Plus, the low beds were a gift for our big clunky dog. She laid on the bed with our screen door porch open watching the surfers in the water. I mean, does it get better than that? For her or us? Someone else said nothing is free, but when we were there not only was coffee and water free, they literally had a public keg where you could pour your own during happy hours plus our breakfast voucher went up to $60 for anything on the menu. And the food was soooooo good. That's why I'm literally confused. This place should get 10 stars. We loved it so much!
Great spot for us big dogs!
Hog's Breath InnYou guys gotta checkout Hog's Breath Inn at Carmel-by-the-sea! They have a menu just for dogs so you can dine with your hoomans! I got hamburger mixed with rice and it was yummy! Patio area was so nice, too! Lots of spaces to tuck away and feel private. I highly ruffamend it!
Loved this beautiful historic hotel
Historic Santa Maria InnThe staff were so friendly and they like big dogs (yay!). The food here was DELISH, and the historic pictures and old phone booths and carved wood and mirror decor throughout the hotel were cool. Lots of famous Old Hollywood stars stayed here and you can see their pictures on the wall. Felt like I got to be somewhere special with mom and dad rather than just plain or fancy. Plus the restaurant sign says "Old English Tavern," so as an Old English Sheepdog I loved that.
Funky bar restaurant with tented patio
Riptide by the BayI loved the crabdeviked eggs (gluten free) and my hubby and daughter loved the cream of crab soup.. great tented option with tables and picnic tables.. Our dog was very comfy here. We asked for a water bowl and they brought me a cake pan with water. It was sweet. I recommend this spot.
Great vibe inside, dogs welcome!
International Tap House - SoulardThis place was awesome. Not only are there tons of water bowls and some treats, we went on a cold night on a cross country drive and they let us bring the dog inside. TONS of beer and a super cool vibe, couches, booths, games. No food but you can bring your own from anywhere. Loved the classic rock play list on when we were there, too. It was great!!
Great stay fur us and the dog
Four Points by Sheraton ManhattanRoom was beautiful, staff was wonderful. There's a walking trail right behind the hotel which was such a gift on our cross country drive.
Surpassed my expectations
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus West - HilliardBefore our stay I thought La Quintas were crummy, but we ended up here after travelling further than we expected and then booking late, and I have to say, it was great! The staff was very friendly and the dogs were welcome throughout. There's a Pet superstore right next door. We did hear a bit from other rooms (a dog barked a couple times and kids playing above) but it was short periods of sounds and did not disrupt us much. The room was spacious and nicely styled and the beds were comfortable.
