Pup friendly fountain park
Fountain of Youth Archaeological ParkGreat time with our doggie here. We were able to take her to every exhibit even the indoor shows. The shows has thunder noise and turned out lights in a crowded room. So know your dog if they'd be okay. Also the living history demos included a cannon and gun demo so hang on to their leash for that. Overall my dog seemed quite to enjoy herself so did we.
Christmas Joy
Perky Pelican Christmas ShoppeSuch a cute store and the owners loved our little doggie.
Cozy and Quiet
The Cozy InnMy dog felt very secure here. Staff is friendly. Charming little cozy room. We got the smallest room but everything about it was nice.
Happy Place
Fairhope Dog ParkTook my small dog to this park.It was early Friday morning and only two other people there on the large dog side. Our dog ran with them through other side of fence she's friendly like that. She also loved sniffing around the area with trees and grass lots of shade and benches. Great experience.
Deli Food Stop
McAlister's DeliWe stopped hear on our road trip with our doggie. They had a lovely patio area to eat at. We kept our dog on a leash at the patio table and you can even order from your phone there without going inside. Service a food were great. Also there are vegetarian options too! We had veggie chili and some sandwiches.
Doggie stay
Best Western Acworth InnEven though it's dog friendly, which is always a plus, you can't leave your dog unattended even if in a crate. They did have a grassy potty area with poop bags to use. They charge a $100 deposit and $30 a day for the dog. But our hotel room was nice so there's that to consider as well. Overall not a bad stay with our doggie.
Hit the historical trail tale
Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic SiteWe came on a misty day after the rain. You need non slip boots or shoes to walk the trail with ease especially because of the leaves on the ground. We took the red trail it followed a beautiful creek. The trail was moderate level for hills and footing. Our dog loved the place she was so happy. We learned some history from the signage too. It was great.
