Actual price versus advertised price

I have just stayed at this hotel, it is very beautiful, the people are very welcoming but yes there is a big but, a lot of hidden costs! First, the bring Fido site took 72 hours to confirm by email! I was sure not to have my reservation! The hotel charges $30 more than the price indicated per night for the presence of the dog. Plus they take a $100 deposit the same night! Also to eat there, you have to order $35 (without tax) and more for room service. I was alone so it took me a meal, a dessert and a cappuccino to make the $35 without tax.

They advertise on their website that there are things to bring to your room downstairs, phew not much choice, not even sandwiches and there are 2 shepherd's pie's that seem to have been there for a while and there isn't no microwave in the room.

Yes the view is superb, the bed very comfortable, but in the evening it is a bit noisy and only 12 basic stations on the tv. There is a nespresso in the room but no milk or cream in the fridge, not much sugar and a choice of 3 coffees including a very strong, a regular and a decaf. I would have expected breakfast to be available at this price but no! Cereals at $5, toast, chocolatines and croissants, not a lot of choice.

The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed since at least the last occupant. The fridge is empty, no mini bar and you have to order more than $35 to get a beer. Also when they came to deliver the meal to me they didn't even pick up the dirty dishes or even the next day when I went out they picked it up when I left and it's a day and a half later so that's beautiful dishes lying around in the room, a little embarrassing… It's sure that it's in a pandemic, the bar was closed downstairs. So in total it cost $536 for two days with just one meal included and I was on my own. For the same price last year I went to the Finnish spa for 2 days and we were 2 people and we had the spa! So pluses and minuses but a lot of minuses. It is far from the restaurants and it fell that it was cold so more than 20 minutes of walking for a meal my dog ​​would have frozen on the spot.

The ten 30 district announces that many places you can go with the dog which is totally false. There are bowls everywhere, that's positive, and garbage bags and garbage cans on the other hand. For the ten 30 I advise you to go there in spring or summer because in winter the places are very far away and your dog will freeze. Unfortunately with the pandemic the neighborhood was dead, not many people even deserted in several places and most restaurants did not even open at lunch or dinner time due to lack of crowds. And with the curfew at 10:00 p.m. not much time for those who want to have dinner and take their time. I give a rating of 5 out of 10 for this place.
