Small dog park and large dog park
Brookdale Dog Parksmall dog park and large dog park are basically the same size. a lot more seating in small dog park area. trees in dog park area. multiple waste receptacles. can get very muddy and sludge-like walking experience. lots of dogs. mostly responsible visitors. lots of dogs walking in the overall park around the dog park. signage is small and hard figure out. I just followed the area with the most people walking with dogs to find it. my dog was not as energetic as at other dog parks. lots of playground equipment even though most dogs don’t use it. with all the obstacles within the dog park, it’s hard to follow your dog. lots of people there even in the middle of weekday. definitely need to be social and vigilant
My pup always has fun! (Will need a rinse when home)
Dog Park at Echo Lake ParkLarge dog area is a huge fenced area with lots of benches, waste bag receptacles (always stocked), trash cans, and bottles of water. Old school water pump in center and friendly patrons who will gladly show you how to fill one of the many bowls available. no need to bring a ball because there are tons of tennis balls around. no dog playground equipment BUT there are always dogs so playtime is always on. PLEASE follow your dog and pick up after them. even if you wanna be solo, there is enough space where you can walk without having to socialize. But if you do want to chat, visitors are diverse and friendly, just like the dogs that enjoy. small dog park is adjacent and may have some playground equipment. it’s for actual small dogs though. it is small and also always full with dogs. keep in mind that it’s mostly dirt which can get muddy. there is a part in the large dog area that has some grass but it’s at the far end. I have added photos of my pup enjoying the park.
lastly, beautiful overall park and huge. if you want to take an incredible walk, it’s probably at least an hour along water with a waterfall area.
