I just relocated here from NC so happy to have found a DOG friendly beach I have three poms two love the beach the other could take it or leave it. the beach was clean and there has always been plenty of parking near by(mid Jan till early April) I take my pups at least twice a week weather permitting.

this park is massive there are tons to do with your pup(s). dogs must remain leashed, the beach is clean and there are several trails to hike/walk. there is a fee to enter but if you are active duty or retired military they offer a discount. I took my three pups they loved it. there is a lake where you can watch the sunset! I highly recommend this park.
