We have been criss-crossing the country for about two years and loving every second of it! Evo is an 8 year old Coconut Retriever - follow our adventures on insta @evo_monster
Wouldn’t Go AgainNazareth Borough Dog Park
The grounds are pretty, it’s basically two fenced in squares about the size of an acre on the side of a hill. Two benches, one water station (I think) we were there about 5 minutes and promptly left when my dog was attacked by an intact Doberman. The owner wouldn’t leave with his aggressive dog.
Great Place!Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center
We enjoyed this place! There was free parking and when you walk up there is a information station with a map (that we didn’t grab), you can go left to the flat trail or right up to the difficult section. The trail was full of roots, steep stairs, and overall pretty difficult. We loved it tho! I was able to find numerous places to let Evo off leash in the water. I would highly recommend this place for dogs and adventure alike.
It’s Nice But Do Your ResearchBushkill Falls
The falls were absolutely beautiful! There is a LOT of steps tho and for dogs who don’t enjoy tight walkways may not enjoy the falls area. There are three trails (easy medium hard) and dogs are welcome on all of them. If you take the red trail up-stream there is a little area for paws to get wet - though be careful as there is a $400 fine for disturbing anything off the path. Trash cans appeared plentiful, there is also a $14.50 fee during the week and more on the weekends. It was full for a Friday in August but overall we are glad we did it!
Great parkLettuce Lake Park
There is no off leash area, however the trails are paved or hard gravel and it was fantastic. A lot of armadillos and squirrels runningaround
Great Park!Deputy Kotfila Memorial Dog Park
This is the best park in the area - under the highway so it’s shaded. Large play area for big and small dogs. There’s no water features but water fountain access. Agility equipment is nice too. I’ll definitely be back!
