Good Visit

Residence Inn by Marriott Foxborough

This location was perfect for us while we were visiting our kids. The Residence Inn has breakfast every morning with a decent selection of food, but you can't bring your dog with you so we ended up bringing the food to our room. We had a nice table and chairs to sit and eat at in our suite. There is no place for you to go and eat outside when the weather is nice that we could find. There was a picnic table in one area, but wasn't in the best shape.

The bed was comfortable, and we ended up watching the television in the bedroom since the couch wasn't very comfortable. The couch is covered in a faux leather which is very slippery to sit on. I understand that it is probably easier to get pet hair off of, but not good for sitting. Please be aware that housekeeping will NOT come into any room with a dog, regardless of whether you are there or have taken your dog out with you during the day. We were there for a week and just bagged our trash and put it outside the door. When we needed new towels or body wash we asked the front desk and it was brought right up. Not an issue, but something people should know. The staff was VERY friendly and that helped make the stay a pleasant one.

Dog Tolerant

Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town

We stayed one night here on our way back to SC. We were checking in during the "Happy Hour" and the place was a mad house. We weren't given any information regarding anything that was happening in the hotel. There is supposed to be a "Yappy Hour" that coincides with the Happy Hour but there was nothing available. There is an outdoor brick patio where you can take your dog, but there was no table service or anything else like in the atrium where you can't have your dog when there is food.

As another reviewer mentioned, there is no place for your dog to "do their business" unless you cross a busy street where there is a small plot of grass. All the other area is either brick or pavement. The suite was nice, but most of the rooms are off the atrium and the sound travels up all the floors. The bedroom was back further away from the noise so we managed to get a restful sleep. Note that some of the doors "stick" like ours did and you have to almost body slam them to get them open. We originally thought ours was locked from the inside. Overall the hotel is nice, but it would be better suited to someone with a small dog they could carry or no dog at all.

Enjoyable

Hangar 12 Restaurant

We met our son here for breakfast. Patio was full at 9:00 so we put our name in and waited about 15 minutes for a table.
The patio is all concrete but our dog enjoyed the coolness and was happy to lay there. There were a few other dogs there as well.
The food is very good and our server, Jess, was wonderful.

Great Stop!

Engine Room

We were traveling from SC and decided to stop and take a break. Looked for a place to stop and the Engine Room came up. Glad we gave it a try. Lots of pups on the spacious deck. We managed to hit happy hour and got burgers, chili dog and more fries than we could eat. Definitely stop if you’re in the area.

Great Food & Great For Dogs

The Brass Tap

Moved into the area in March 2022 & love being able to have our dog with us when we go out to eat. The patio is narrow but the seats are high, so there is plenty of room for our dog to fit. The staff is fantastic and the food is very good. The tacos are delish!
We have been to this location at least 5 times since we have been here and have never been disappointed. The only thing I would caution anyone about is to check where the sun is hitting before you decide to eat on the patio. It can get pretty hot once the sun makes it below the awning.
