Description

Visit over 150 life size dinosaurs in an outdoor museum. Since there's over a mile of outdoor walkways along the dinosaur walk, there's plenty of room for the family dog! Other exhibits include a Fossil dig where children can sift thru sand in search of fossils to take home. Unearth a life size dinosaur skeleton in the Boneyard. Learn in the indoor Prehistoric Museum (also pet friendly). Enter Carnivore Boardwalk if you dare. Cross into Deinonychus Island to see the raptors. Walk thru the Skeleton Garden. Enjoy the picnic area, playground, giftshop and more.

Amazing Location And Super Dog Friendly

The location is such a great experience for all ages ! Our pup was greeted with open arms and the clerk even offered doggie bags. The museum isn’t dog friend but everything else is! Amazing photo opportunities and even a water bowl for the doggies to drink from. Would definitely visit again.

    Great to walk your dog!

Dinosaur World was dog friendly. We traveled with our 90lb mix and 10lb mini schnauzer and there were no weight restrictions. We saw a great Dane there too. Take a large water bottle for your dogs since theres no water features for them and it gets hot! No water bottles in the vending machines so if you forget get one in the gift shop. Don't get too close to the water because there are mosquitoes. Plenty of shady areas to rest. Make sure your small dogs don't attack the dinosaurs. Lots of great photo ops.

    Great day with the dogs.

We were on our way back from St Pete's Beach and were looking for things to do to break up the drive for the dogs. We were happily surprised to find that Dinosaur World allowed leashed dogs. The dogs enjoyed stretching their legs and checking out the sights and smells along the trails while we learned about dinosaurs.

    Teddy meets Dinosaur World

I'm always looking for places I can take my dog Teddy. I especially enjoy when it's attraction place that is just as enjoyable for us humans. When I found out Dinosaur World was pet friendly, I thought why not check it out. I figured it would be cheesy. Something for kids to enjoy but my dad, Teddy and I took the two hour drive for the spontaneity of it.

I was pleasantly surprised. Dogs do have to be on a leash but what a great place to walk your dog! In addition to having some very cool life size Dinosaurs to look at the vegetation is awesome! Yes you have pay an entrance fee. I think it was $10 or $15 for Florida residence but it was really a pleasant place to walk your dog and enjoy the sites. There were tons of different dinosaurs to look at while walking. Take your camera and have fun with Fido. You can also bring your own food and picnic there. They encourage it. You must carry doggy bags and clean up after your dog but that's a given for any responsible pet owner. I think they even sell or give you bags there.
