Bitter Creek Bark Park

Bitter Creek Bark Park in Rock Springs, WY has become one of the busiest city parks in town. Conveniently located near Interstate 80, this park is a top destination for locals and visitors who are simply passing through on their travels. The park has grassy areas, walking paths and a large pond for Fido to cool off and splash with friends. Visitors will also find a shelter with tables and pet waste stations within the large fully enclosed area. If your pooch won't be venturing near the pond, be sure to bring your own water to keep them hydrated. Visit Website

    Soo convenient

Me and my dog both really enjoyed this dog park. There is so much space and two separate parks that each have lots of running space. The pond is only in one side of the park though. There are also many places two sit and two fountains in each park. It was great when stopping on our travels!

    Rocking dog Park

Our Golden Retrievers loved this off leash dog park. We enjoyed being able to walk and let the dogs run freely. Clean and spacious!

    Good and Clean

This location has a lot of bare ground that will turn muddy when it rains.

    Clean Fun Dog Park

We stopped here during a cross country car trip. Our Pug had a great time playing in the small dog area which has tunnels, rocks, and elevated areas to play. Large dog area had plenty of run space and a pond for swimming. Covered picnic area available too. Wonderful place to let your dog run around.

Easy to find and close to the freeway

This park is easy to find. The city has signs on the freeway indicating the dog park, and signs to follow once you take the exit. It's less than 5 minutes from the freeway. Pond area and separate fenced area with no water so your pup can dry off before hitting the road again.

    Beautiful fenced dog park!

beautiful little park with two fenced and separate play areas. Both are large with lush grass and one has a large pond. there is a gravel walk way around both perimeters. I wish I could have left them a donation somewhere!

A great surprise in Rock Springs!

I have been to a lot of dog parks around the country with my dog, but this one is one of the BEST we've been to. Grass, a pond, a walking trail, friendly, responsible dog owners!! What else could you want. My dog Jax loved it and came back to our hotel exhausted!!! 5 dog bones for this park!!!!

    Best. Dog Park. Ever.

My water loving boy was in heaven swimming with his ball. Plenty of grass to run him dry after. A few shady sitting spots and multiple water fountains make it a wonderful place to relax with the pup.

    Best dog park Ever!

This dog park had extremely friendly humans and dogs. There were four or five dogs while we were there. It is a huge space with picnic tables benches and water (with a fountain) for the dogs to go swimming. By far the best dog park I have been to on my travels.

    Small but good

Stomped at this dog park on a cross-country trip in November 2018.

the pond was frozen and fenced-in, probably a good safety measure. Learn from a local that the pond is actually from a discharge, treated, he advised that he wouldn't trust for his dog to go into that water. Probably sound advice.

On the other hand, the dog park is run by the city, and it is doubtful that they would operate an unsafe facility for the animals, which is located just behind animal shelter.

Despite the weather, there were several dogs at the park, and the owners understood that the animals can communicate, and they had great fun playing. there does not seem to be a separate area for small and large dogs, but all got along fine.

Haven't driven from Wisconsin to Utah, this was the second best dog park out of eight that I saw on the entire trip. With so many benches, and friendly owners, it is a place to bring your pet.

    Beautiful park

The park looks just like the photos and is very well-kept! I went midday on a Wednesday and the grounds were being actively tended to by personnel. There were only about 3-4 other dogs, and all were well-behaved. The track around the park was nice to walk around, and I would trust my dog to go into the water if he was interested. The shower area to wash off a dirty dog is a huge bonus. I would definitely go again if I'm ever in the area!

    Wonderful park

I just visited this park with my Llewellyn Setter, who likes to find birds and run. He got to do lots of both in this lovely park. He even waded into the pond to try to get one of the birds. The grass surrounding the pond is luscious and well-groomed. And there is a walking path for humans along the fence. My dog had a blast. Rock Springs seems to have lots of construction going on, so getting there was interesting, but it is worth going. I would definitely make it a must-go thing if ever we are here again.

    Great Park!

I was delighted to find this park so close to the freeway. Be careful with GPS directions. It is adjacent to the Animal Control area behind Auto Zone.

    loved this park

We brought our two dogs here on our trip to Kansas. My big goofball rotty went swimming right away. He loves the water. The fur parents were great. Lots of trees, big rocks to climb on, covered area for sitting, gravel and nice grass. We will be stopping on our way back.

    Great Park

This is a wonderful park with a small lake and lots of area to run. It is nice for the humans too, with benches and a covered pavilion . A little hard to find. Turn by the auto zone, over the bridge, right on the first dirt road. Straight back to the park. Plenty of parking, even for an RV.
