we went midweek. mostly shaded walk. lots to see. my only advice is bring your doggo some water. according to my phone we did 2.6 miles. benches along the way to sit. it is mostly coral stone. our girl did not mind walking on that. not sure if your dog minds? staff is very friendly. dog treats were given out by person at the front. if your dog is high energy, the dog park behind the Marathon Town Hall was a good place to start. we did that first. nice place too. bags and dog water fountain there.

we really enjoyed our visit here today. Very dog friendly staff. The paths are mainly small rocks so my pooch didn’t want to walk on them much. but, there were some areas that she didn’t mind walking.

Nice museum and park entirely dog friendly. Water stations at museum and house on the point. A variety of trail options. Beautiful scenery and history. A bird sanctuary. Bought an annual membership and walk my dog there frequently. Some trails more shaded than others.

Not much of the natural habitat exists anymore, but a beautiful piece of it has been preserved here. The trails are short but with the breeze blocked off by dense vegetation it can get very hot! Go early or later, don’t do as I did and go at midday! My GSD was a little overheated by the time we got back to the museum. There was water available at the Crane House.

This is a nice, shaded trail with great views and historical information. Very welcoming of dogs not only on the trails, but in the gift shop and museum as well.

This is a fun and interesting place to visit. Loved the rescue birds and the short trails provided some shade for our big hot GSD. We cooled him under a hose and he enjoyed the a/c in the museum at the end of our visit ! Aloha
