- lisaApr 5, 2024Nice hike through the forest.
We enjoyed this 2 mile hike. Once we found the yellow arrow marker at the start of the trail it was easy to follow. It's a single track trail made more for mountain bikes than hikers but we didn't see any bikes or other hikers. The only downside is a few bridges that are a little iffy for dogs. The slats are spaced too far apart so they could get they're feet in them. We took them slow and all three of our dogs did fine, even the old gal.

the 6 y/o sport courts have been torn up, there is no road or parking currently, as Texas A&M University-Texarkana has taken over the entire park. The trails are non-existant. There is one that is overgrown & accessed from the Wamba neighborhood dirt road. But it is not a well maintained path & it floods easily.
