    Will never go back

Driving up I thought "wow" what a great looking dog park. It's huge, clean, few dogs, lots of parking... So we rushed out of the car, made it through the 1st gate and opened the second which I held open for Gabby. She waltzed her 5 year old 185 lb English Mastiff body halfway through when out of nowhere s grey pitbull flew at her and bit her on the ear and neck in a grip that tightened fast, breaking the skin. Gabby could neither back up or go forward. I yelled at the owner to get his dog. He informed me in the way of all punks that it was "Okay, that is how all dogs act. What followed was me threatening to call the police and him leaving, finally. Other people in the park looked the other way. I left with Gabby and never looked back. 17th St. Park was dead-end.

Love the small sized dog area

My 15lb rat terrier starts shaking with excitement just pulling in here to go to the small dog area (under 20 lb). There's always plenty of parking. 2 double fenced entryways on each side so you don't have to wait on other dogs to leave. Plenty of both dirt and grass areas to run around. A very large oak tree in the middle for shade and numerous benches. Poop bags are always filled and owners seem to be very good about picking up. There's a water hose with some bowls and a doggy pool. We generally go after work around 5 and there's always a good amount of dogs and so many different breeds. We have fun watching who's gonna come next through the gate. It's like a fun reality show.
I've heard some negative things about the large dog side, that there are often aggressive dogs. I can't really speak on that, though I've seen one attack in the maybe 30 times I've been there.

    Spacious park with shade!

I ran around in the big dog area and met lots of other well-behaved dogs and their humans. There was water for me, too! Nice stop on our visit to Florida.

    Big Beautiful Fenced In Park

This dog park has handicap parking with benches scattered around the park to sit on. There is a HUGE area for dogs to run, and a great walking path. There are a lot of receptacles and bag stations around the park. They have multiple watering stations too. we liked this park a lot!

    Love This Dog Park

love this dog park! people are super friendly and most dogs are very well behaved. They provide doggie bags and trash/recycling cans throughout the park. also have a little area with agility course pieces, and a bunch of bowls and watering spigots as well as shady areas and benches. I take my pup around once a week and we love it!

    Very nice park

Lots of space for dogs to run. Sometimes people bring their small dogs in the big dog area so if your dog has a high prey drive be aware. Luckily there are very few blind spots if your dog likes to be aloof so you can still keep an eye on him. The vast majority of people watch their dogs pretty closely and will step in if anyone is getting too rough or overwhelmed. Lots of water available and shady seating. People are also quick to pick up after their dogs so that's a huge plus. There is also a "warm up" area for the big dogs if you or your buddy is nervous going in. Really great feature if you're not sure how your dog will handle all of the activity. There is a porta-potty in the parking lot. Overall this is a great park and my dog is always exhausted by the end of our visit.

    Good Park, Bad Vibe

This park has wonderful, large spaces for both large and small dogs. But every time we visited we encountered aggressive dogs and unpleasant owners. Also, many owners do not pick up after their dogs making for some unpleasant surprises. Too bad, because this could be a terrific place for your pooch.

    Nice stop while traveling

The day we stopped there were many dogs, but this area was big enough to handle the number. The owners that we encountered were very attentive and interactive with their own dogs and those of others. Everyone seemed to want the socializing to work well, and it did. Our pup got some much needed exercise and time with some other pups while we were traveling. This was the biggest dog park that we have been to with separate areas for large and small dogs, although there were many small dogs in the large dog area. It was clean and well maintained. I recommend this park for travelers.

    Great!!

The only down side to this park is that there are not many trees in the big dog area. This could easily be fixed though. The space is huge and well kept, there are bags and water available and plenty of random balls laying around for the dogs to grab. Great place and look forward to returning soon!

    Not bad

Depends on when you go, could be lots of dogs. It does have an agility training area, a small pool someone left for the dogs, and a large area to run. Sometimes there can be aggressive dogs there.

    Just OK

This park is well shaded and has big and small dog areas. The park is in need of some heavy maintenance but there is a sign that says it is closed every Tuesday until further notice for maintenance so may be it will get better
