    Lake Louisa State Park

    Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL, is pet-friendly. You and your pooch are invited to explore 20 miles of unpaved trails and a half-mile nature trail at the Lake Louisa parking lot. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash under six feet. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the lake. There's a fee of $5 per car, per day.       Dogs aren’t allowed in the lake

      There are lots of trails but I sprained my ankle and walking was quite difficult. I was hoping my dog could get a swim in but she wasn’t even allowed on the beach let alone the water. Still looking for a place to take her so she can swim.

      Great place to bring the pup

      Love Lake Louisa! I bought an annual pass since my dogs are active and love hiking. Parts of the trail are shaded and in great condition for the pups to walk on. There are areas without shade and parts of the trail is just sand, but it’s a big park so try to pre-plan your hike to avoid those areas if necessary. There are not a lot of doggy stations on the path so if your dog goes potty, you will walk a good amount with a poop filled doggy bag on hand. Also, there are no water stations in this park for the pups so bring your dog bowl and plenty of water.
