    Expected Better

Double entry gate not secure. One side is always wide open so it's easy for dogs to escape when someone enters or exits.

Huge sandpit, and can only imagine it being a mudpit when it rains.

Only 1 faucet of the 2 work, but they are on the same post, so not that big of a deal. Water is by hose and a water dish, not a faucet with drain so saliva from previous dogs stay in the dish. Meh...

Small park. Maybe a 1/4 acre of sand.

Picnic tables are dirty/moldy from all the shade trees.

    Mosquitoes will carry you away.

I'm used to faucets with drains, grassy fields, and several acres to run and play.

I guess expected nicer from a Palma Ceia dog park.

They Have A Doggie Pool! Great For Some Dogs

lots of room for dogs, fully fenced in, some noise due to express way or children on attached play set but my dog seems ok with that. Can get a bit muddy if it rained otherwise it’s pretty sandy, not a lot of grass. there are a ton of trees for shade. my dog appreciates the hose and turtle shaped doggy pool in the middle of the dog park.

    Giant Sand Box

It was literally a giant sand box. There is only a patch of grass/weeds about 10 x 40 ft. Very noisy because of the expressway (not that my dog cared). The positive is that there are a lot of trees for shade.

Sandy, Sand fleas, Noisy From Expressway

The main issue with PCDP is the lack of grass or artificial turf. It is a large area that has the potential to be a very nice dog park. There weren’t a lot of dogs when we were here. Plan on your dog getting very dirty.

    A Little Too Sandy

Took our two dogs to this park on a Saturday. Note, that it currently opens at 9 am on weekends, as we learned from a gentleman who works for the park division.
The park is very sandy, several patches of grass, a few trees. The dogs got very sandy! There’s a watering station for the dogs, but, again, expect your pup to be muddy after drinking and running in the sand.

    good spot

Great spot for smaller dogs. Plenty of oak canopy to provide shade and lots of squirrels to chase. Lots of opportunities for your dog to get dirty here.

    Dr.

It closes at 7:15 or at sunset officially, whichever comes first. Otherwise it is a good park with a lot of running and exploring space. But expect your dogs to get dirty as most of it is dirt

    Closes at 7:00pm?!

Would have loved to check out this park, but I arrived at 7:00 on a still sunny evening and a guard told me I wasn't allowed in. That is really early for Florida...
