    DO NOT GO

want your dogs to be attacked by a pack of dogs while their 70+ year old owners sit and laugh? this is the place! apparently it’s a common issue

    Awful

The old ladies that come in the morning with their dogs are horrible! They are rude, mean, and think only their dogs belong there. They didn’t like my response to their demeanor. Their dogs are aggressive then try and blame it on your dog when he is just trying to mind his business. I asked for the one lady who has a Pomeranian to back up and give me my space and she threatened to pepper spray me and my dog! I will never return!!!! She then comes back 20 min later saying she reported me and screamed obscenities at me while my dog was playing fine with another dog that had joined by that time. They were just mad I stood up for myself and took it all way too far!!!!!

    BEWARE!!

Absolutely horrific place to go in the morning. Absolutely DO NOT go around 9am. There is a clique and the dogs have packed. Today was our first day coming to this park in the morning and of the 12 people in the park and the 10 plus dogs there, my dog and I were attacked to the point my dog has a split ear and I am bleeding head to toe. I lost all my belongings while trying to save my dog and not one person tried to call their dog or get their dog away from mine as he is crying and screaming for dear life as the 10 others are after him. Now this isn't coming from someone new to dog parks. I have been going to dog parks across the country for over 20 years and I have never seen anything like this. As barely any were wearing collars or had rabies tags (because I like to know names so I checked) the county and police will be checking this time regularly now. I lost all my belongings in the park and ONLY ONE PERSON OF THE 10 helped me look for my items - my purse, keys, phone, ear buds, sunglasses, coffee cup. Seriously. I have never seen such awful, dirty, disgusting people in my life. Now the 3PM crown and later - that is the time to come! The people are friendly and attentive! Just absolutely STAY AWAY FOR YOUR YOU AND YOUR DOGS OWN HEALTH AND SAFETY. YOU WILL 100% BE AT RISK.

    Great park

Great park but should have more shade and trees for the small dog area.

Dogs are great...if their people are!

I was very glad to find this park. Off lead is mandatory. I avoid going after a rain. My dog is small, and I appreciate the size segregation. Almost everyone is diligent about picking up after their dogs...and other owners will point out any misses so pay attention to your buddy. I have recommended this park to other dog parents, and my beast gets so excited when we get close to it that I KNOW he loves it!

    Rating of the park.

The park is a nice place but some of the dog owner are nasty, mean and cruel to other owners. They are not kind to the dog's who have not had much exposure to socializing with other dog. They critized and kick them out of the park.

    Cathy from Tampa

We recently moved here from the Tampa area. We have been to many dog parks in various states. This is one of the nicest ones. In the large dog park all the dogs get along. There is plenty of water buckets throughout the park. The owners are attentive re cleaning up after there dogs. There are bags available at both entrances. There are 4 park benches through out the park. I do recommend bringing your own canvas chair for your own comfort because the park benches are a bit uncomfortable and also incase there is no available seating.. Everyone is very friendly and helpful for new people moving to the area re finding vets and other dog friendly attractions.
    THIS IS THE BEST!

My puppy loved it! I like the way they separate the big dogs from the little ones..

    Probably wont be back

I will have to agree with Tana^^. The park in Gainesville was at least 15 times the size of this tiny space. I was glad to see no agressive dogs in the small dog, nor large dog area...however, Im not surprised that there werent many dogs altogether. There was hardly any grass; it was mostly dirt/mud. And just as the previously stated, I will have to agree that the seating accommodations were poor; 2 very small benches. If you live really, really close and dont have a backyard, this might be the place you can let ur dog run around for a few minutes...otherwise, I wouldnt bother.

    Nice Place

We are here visiting and brought our beagle. The fenced in areas are decent size and there is plenty of room for dogs of all sizes to run. There was adequate shade in both the small and big dog areas, as well as plenty of water available.

I would recommend visiting this dog park whether you are a local or just visiting.

    Just alright

I'll be upfront about the fact that we are used to some really good dog parks in the Central FL area and while it is a bit unfair to compare this one to them, I just can't help but be unimpressed. We took our Basenji to the big dog section as the small dog section is just too small, he needs room to run. That said, the big dog area is still quite small, although very clean. I did find a good sized shard of glass, but that happens in many areas and you should be on the look out anyway. They did have buckets of water set out, but I'd prefer to bring my own. Only a few picnic tables and benches and a small amount of shade, nothing too spectacular, it is after all a dog park. It's a good thing there aren't a lot of people and dogs there as it's just not big enough to accommodate even a moderate size group.

    Cool Place!

Nice facility and best of all FREE!! The Cape wants $15 per dog/year to use the one at Rotary Park......Why??? We pay enough taxes in the Cape.....Don't tax the dogs!

Pooch Park at Judd Park, small dogs

This is regarding the small dog area. This is one of the nicest I have ever been to. It is clean, everyone keeps the place neat. Clean water bowls are there, but everyone brings
their own water. Good places to sit, shade
and sun, nice people and dogs, a very nice park.
