Mayfield Dairy Visitors Center Located about 5 miles off of I-75 between Knoxville and Chattanooga, this makes a fun stop for the family, with or without your dog. The Mayfield Dairy Visitor's Center has a beautiful covered porch with seats and overhead fans where you can order your favorite flavor of ice cream through the window and sit and enjoy it with your dog. Inside for people only is a 30 minute tour of the ice cream factory, a Mayfield novelty store, and the ice cream shop. We have been here with and without our dog. When it was just us humans, we really enjoyed touring the factory and shopping inside with a nice ice cream cone in hand. On our last stop, our dog came along so we just came by to stretch our legs and eat ice cream on their porch. Family members may choose to take turns going inside for the tour while one of the party waited on the porch with the dog. Mayfield Diary Visitor Center is a nice relaxing stop after being on a long interstate drive, and well worth a visit. See Details
