Pet Friendly Apollo Dog Park
Pets are welcome to join you on-leash as you relax in beautiful Apollo Park, a great spot for fishing or a picnic.
Pet Friendly Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park
Dogs are welcome at the picnic area at Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park, but like other state parks in California, they are not allowed on the trails. This park preserves native Joshuas and junipers which once grew in great abundance throughout the valley. The park is free to enter and open from sunrise to sunset.
Pet Friendly Saddleback Butte State Park
Dogs are allowed at the picnic areas and campgrounds of Saddleback Butte State Park, but are prohibited from using any of the trails in the area. Fido can join you in the specified areas as long as they are on a leash under six feet. With an elevation of 3,651 feet, the park features a granite mountaintop that overlooks Antelope Valley below. Saddleback Butte is open every day of the week from sunrise to sunset.
Pet Friendly Vasquez Rocks Trail
Vasquez Rocks Trail is an easy, 1 mile hike that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. The San Andreas Fault is responsible for creating the rock that juts out of the earth at impressive angles. You may recognize them from movies such as Star Trek and Austin Powers.
