The play area features 5 acres with a 6 foot galvanized chain link fence with double gated entries. The area is split into two separate access areas for small and large dogs. In addition, there are water fountains for people and dogs, picnic tables, shelters, dog washes, a hitching post, and doggie mitt receptacles.

Rotary Centennial Park Dog Park is Hernando County's first dog park, located two blocks south of Northcliffe Boulevard and three blocks west of Mariner Boulevard. This is an 8-acre park, with 3-acres that is for dogs only. It offers three separate fenced areas - one for small dogs, one for large dogs and the third for guide, therapy or very shy dogs.
