Civita Park is a dog-friendly, multi-level, 14-acre park and dog park in San Diego, CA. Your leashed dog is welcome to join you at the dog park, outdoor amphitheater, picnic grove, and interpretive gardens. Dogs are not allowed in the interactive water feature, bocce court, basketball court, or historic mining terrace. The dog park on site has two separate areas for play, where dogs are separated based upon weight. North Beach
North Beach is a dog-friendly beach in Del Mar, CA. Dogs are allowed off-leash during the off-season, between the day after Labor Day through June 15th. June 16th through Labor Day, during the summer, pups are only allowed off-leash from dawn to 8:00 AM. Otherwise, dogs are still welcome on the beach but must remain leashed. A dog license must be affixed to the collar, and leashes cannot exceed six feet.

The Mount Woodson trail is a dog-friendly hike in Poway, CA. The trailhead is located on the east side of Lake Poway. The hike to the summit is considered extremely challenging as it contains a 2,000-foot climb in elevation. This eight-mile round-trip hike takes about 3 to 4 hours on average, so be sure to plan and pack accordingly. Fido must stay leashed while hiking.

Cabrillo Tide Pools Coastal Trail in San Diego is an easy, dog-friendly, 0.5 mile hike in Cabrillo National Monument that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. Although some people along the trail may tell you that your dog is not allowed, this trail is in fact the only area in Cabrillo National Monument where dogs are allowed. Fido will have to remain on a leash on the trail to the tide pools. Dogs are not allowed in the tide pools. Don't forget to clean up after your pup.
