Pet Friendly Henry W. Coe State Park
Dogs are welcome at Henry W. Coe State Park, also known as Coe Park, the largest state park in northern California made up of wild open spaces. At the park, you'll find stunning lofty ridges and steep canyons all over. There are a number of pet-friendly areas at the park to enjoy with Fido, including the Coe Ranch Campground, paved roads, and one trail that connects the Visitor Center to the parking lot off of East Dunne Avenue. Dogs are not allowed at Manzanita Point, Blue Oak Horse Camp, Poverty Flat Group Campsites, and the Hunting Hollow or Dowdy Ranch entrances. Dogs are also prohibited on all other trails at Coe Park. You can gain entrance to the park around the clock, every day of the year.
Pet Friendly MetroDemic
Join us for a dog-friendly game of MetroDemic in downtown San Jose. Teams of 2-4 owners and their K-9 companions will team to save as many lives as possible from a deadly epidemic. Your team will hunt for secret "outbreak" locations on a walk through the area and answer themed trivia to stop the disease. You'll have 90-minutes to rack up the highest score in the city! This game is played outdoors and on foot, so dogs are entirely welcome to join you on your mission!
Pet Friendly The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park
The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park is dog-friendly. This redwood forest is home to trees that stretch up to 2,600 feet into the sky above. Although logging felled thousands of trees that once stood in the area, many new trees are starting to grow back to cover the land that lay bare for so long. Dogs are only allowed on Aptos Creek Fire Road and the four single-track trails below the steel bridge. Unfortunately, dogs are prohibited beyond the gate at the Porter picnic area parking lot. The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park is open every day of the week from sunrise to sunset.
