The Grotto A sixty-two acre Catholic shrine and botanical garden, the Grotto is an oasis of serenity and green space just moments from downtown Portland. Leashed pets are allowed on the premises. Every year, on the third Sunday of July, the Grotto offers the Blessing of the Animals. This event draws a variety of creatures, ranging from snakes to furry four-legged friends. See Details
Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe Enjoy some time with Fido on the Deschutes River with a rental from Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe. Dogs are welcome to join the fun on kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards. If you want a laid-back river trip, enjoy a tubing trip on the river. Tubes have handles and netting so neither you nor Fido will fall through although it is still a good idea to make sure Fido is wearing a PFD. All rentals have a minimum two-hour rental period. The Bend store is open year round from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Sunriver store is open from April to September; however, if you’re renting from the Sunriver location, you must be able to transport your own rental to the river as dogs are not allowed on the shuttle. Spinreel Dune Buggy & ATV Rental If you are looking to explore the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Center with your pet, Spinreel Dune Buggy has pet friendly dune buggies. Dogs are welcome in the back of the two-seater dune buggy. With opportunities for adventure along high dunes, flatter trail areas, or along the Pacific Ocean, Spinreel Dune Buggy has something for every preference. Haystack Rock Haystack Rock, on Cannon Beach, is a gorgeous designated bird and marine sanctuary rising 235 feet above the sand and sea. Leash up Fido and take a walk around the tide pools, where you will see a variety of marine life. Haystack Rock itself is home to cormorants, seagulls, and tufted puffins. Although dogs are permitted to be off leash on the beach, they must be leashed around Haystack Rock due to its status as a bird and marine sanctuary. See Details

Bella Organic Farm Bella Organic Farm is named after Bella, the old farm dog. The farm is pet-friendly and welcomes dogs to join in the fun of the corn maze and pumpkin patch. The organic farm is home to nearly three miles of corn maze trails that are pet-friendly. Dogs are also welcome to join the hayrides around the farm. Kiyokawa Family Orchards Kiyokawa Family Orchards is dog-friendly. Located at the foothills of Mt. Hood, this orchard is 125-acres and is home to 90 different varieties of apples and pears. Well-behaved pups wearing a leash are welcome to enjoy the large open field at this location. The only areas that Fido is prohibited to go is inside the fruit stand and anywhere with fruit on display. White River West Sno-Park White River West Sno-Park is one of Mount Hood's largest official sledding sites. The popularity of this winter recreation facility is probably down to the stunning views of White River Canyon and Mt. Hood. As well as enjoying the views, dogs and their owners can get out on one of the cross-country skiing or snow shoe trails. There's parking for 200 vehicles on site, so you should be able to find somewhere to park up, but to avoid the crowds during peak winter season, you and Fido should try to visit mid-week. Cana's Feast Winery produces Old World-style wines from varietals originating in the regions of the Piemont, Tuscany, Puglia, Bordeaux, Southern Rhone, and Bourgogne. Stop in for a full wine tasting or for a glass of Pinot Noir. The tasting fee is $10 per person and includes a flight of 5 – 7 wines. One tasting fee is waived with each $25 wine purchase. This community park is popular among skateboarders using the skate park, sports enthusiasts on the many fields, people hanging out around the picnic areas, and dog owners utilizing the fenced-in dog run. The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad is pet-friendly. Passengers bringing their dogs along for the ride are asked to sit in the open-top section of the train. The train is a 46-mile stretch of track between the Tillamook Airport and the railroad siding of Enright. Pets ride for free and a ticket for a human traveler is $40. You can catch the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad from the Garibaldi Train Depot at 306 American Avenue in Garibaldi; the Rockaway Beach Depot at 125 Oregon Coast Hwy in Rockaway Beach; or the Wheeler Depot at 580 Marine Drive in Wheeler. The train operates from 9am to 5pm. Dogs and their families should book tickets in the open cars, not the dinner cars where food is served. During the regular season beginning in late May, the steam locomotives run every day of the week. See Details
