Alameda Dog Park

Pets love to play off-leash at this fenced dog park, which includes a separate area for smaller pets.

Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park is one of San Francisco's most popular pet-friendly parks. Dogs have a dedicated off-leash area near the entrance at Fulton St. and 38th Ave. There are four separate off-leash areas: the southeast section between Lincoln Way, King Drive and 2nd and 7th Avenues; the Northeast section at Stanyan and Grove Streets; the Southcentral area between King Drive, Middle Drive, and 34th and 38th Avenues; and the fenced training area at 38th Ave. and Fulton.

Fort Funston

Located on Skyline Blvd, Fort Funston is one of the best places in all of San Francisco to bring your dog for a day of fun. Plenty of open space allows your dog to run free (as long as they are well-behaved and under voice command), and there are several trails, beach areas and other dogs to keep your pup happy. Dogs must be on a leash in the Bank Swallow habitat areas.

Ocean Beach

Ocean Beach in San Francisco is very popular with dog owners because dogs are allowed on the beach off-leash from stairwell 1 to stairwell 21. South of stairwell 21, dogs must remain on leashes.
