Dothan Area Botanical Gardens Dothan Area Botanical Gardens is a 50-acre garden in Dothan, AL, full of dog-friendly nature trails for you and Fido to explore! There's also a small picnic area, beautiful koi ponds and a Japanese garden. Dogs are allowed in the gardens as long as they are people-friendly and kept on a short leash. Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park The Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park is located within the Blount Cultural Park in Montgomery, AL. There is a main entrance that leads to two separate areas; one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. Each area has a wash station available along with a gazebo. Surrounded completely by the Talladega National Forest, the park is ideal for access to the Kentuck ORV-ATV Trail. Additionally, the park is home to the Cheaha Trailhead of the Pinhoti Trail, which connects with the Appalachian Trail and accesses the Odum Scout Trail, and the Chinnabee Silent Trail. Meaher State Park Meaher State Park is a 1,327-acre recreation area in Spanish Fort, AL. It's situated in the wetlands of Mobile Bay and is a day-use, picnicking and scenic park with modern camping hook-ups for overnight visitors. A self-guided walk on two dog-friendly nature trails includes a boardwalk with an up-close view of the beautiful Mobile Delta. Bike and horseback riding trails may not allow dogs for safety reasons. Dogs should be leashed at all times and owners must clean up any waste. The Mobile bayside beach from the old Fort Morgan Pier all the way to the Old Fisherman's Wharf is the only beach that allows dogs. Beyond the Old Fisherman's Wharf is a Federal Wildlife area so dogs are not permitted beyond that point.
