Emerald View Park Created in 2005, Emerald View Park is Pittsburgh's newest regional park. Overlooking downtown Pittsburgh, it is located in the neighborhoods of Duquesne Heights, Mount Washington, and Allentown. The Park combines existing parks and green spaces with what was once heavily mined, denuded and dumped upon land. For Pittsburgh and the more than 1 million people who visit Mount Washington every year to see the iconic view of downtown Pittsburgh and her three rivers, the 257 acre Park offers a mix of playing fields, playgrounds, lawns, views and trails.

There are currently about 10 miles of fragmented trails in Emerald View Park but the Park's Master Trail Plan will create over 20 miles of trails throughout the Park. This will include more than 9 miles of main trail loop and 10 miles of secondary trail. Adding to Pittsburgh's livability and viability as a tourist draw, Emerald View Park trails will ultimately allow for pedestrian, bicycle and non-motorized commuting connections with downtown Pittsburgh, the Allegheny and Ohio Rivers, Three Rivers Heritage Trail, the Great Allegheny Passage, Beechview Greenway, the West End and Southside.
