Dr. Rich Weiss Park is a dog-friendly recreation area in Steamboat Springs, CO. Enjoy a hike on the trails with your leashed pup or a picnic along the Yampa River. Park amenities include picnic tables, pet waste stations, restrooms, drinking fountains, shade trees and a natural spring. Seasonally when the river has calmed, Fido can enjoy a dip in the water with access to the river and several small watering holes.

White Ranch Park in Golden, CO, is a beautiful, pet-friendly park with over 18 miles of varied trails. The park is accessible via Route 6/Route 93- Golden Gate Canyon Road, and is located about 15 miles from the center of Golden. Rawhide Trail is a beautiful loop with plenty of shade and beautiful views of Denver, Golden and the surrounding mountains. The trail is challenging but not too strenuous, rocky and steep at some points but fairly simple for both dogs and humans to navigate. Lots of flat and downhill terrain throughout the loop.

Leashed dogs are welcome on Mount Sanitas Trail in Boulder, CO. This pet-friendly trail is a challenging yet rewarding outing, with many stairs leading to the summit. Easier hikes are also available in the same location.

This 5.5-mile hike, in Roosevelt National Forest near Drake, CO, will take about 6 hours to complete with Fido. The pet-friendly North Fork Trail can be accessed via the Dunraven Trailhead graveled parking lot. From the parking area, the trail drops into a canyon and follows the North Fork of the Big Thompson for several miles with footbridges placed at some of the stream crossings. Dogs must remain on a leash during the hike.

Permits are required for overnight stays from Jun 1 through September 15, and leash laws apply all of the time.

The Blue Lake Trail is a pet-friendly activity in Bellvue, CO.
