Dog Friendly Hiking Trails in Seligman, AZ

More than 2,000 dog-friendly acres of natural wonderland await you and your pup at Cattail Cove State Park in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Relax, hike, bird-watch, enjoy the dog park, or have a picnic at this beautiful park on Lake Havasu. Fido must be leashed at all times on the trails, but may be off-leash at the designated dog beach. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the developed beaches for human use.

Montezuma Castle National Monument is a pet-friendly attraction in Camp Verde, AZ. Pets are welcome on the paved trails but must remain on a leash under six feet. Leashed dogs are welcome at this Sedona picnic site. One of the most photographed scenes in the southwest is towering Cathedral Rock reflected in the waters of Oak Creek at Red Rock Crossing. It should come as no surprise, then, that the picnic area located at that same site is as popular as it is beautiful. People come here to fish, swim, and wade in the creek, as well as to picnic and photograph the scenery. At times it can become quite crowded. If you want the world-class beauty of Red Rock Crossing all to yourself (or nearly so) visit early in the morning or on a weekday. Some people and pups may choose to get wet. Vault toilets and beverage vending machines on site. An $11 per vehicle day-use fee is required.

Nate Avery Trail is a great pet-friendly trail to take your pooch on in Flagstaff, AZ. One of the most popular urban trails in the area, this two-mile loop around Buffalo Park leads to an expansive open space on the flat top of McMillan Mesa, an ancient lava flow. The trail will also lead you through a wooded ravine to some awesome views of Humphrey's Peak, the Dry Lake Hills, and Mount Elden.

Pine Trailhead is pet-friendly. Leashed pups are welcome to join you on this wooded trail through elegant pine trees in the Coconino National Forest, proceeding over the edge of the Mogollon Rim, and the longest portion on the Tonto National Forest. Along the way, you can enjoy scenic views of Pine, Arizona and for miles around. Dogs are allowed, as long as they are cleaned up after.

Leashed dogs and their owners can explore the pet-friendly Blue Wash Trail to Camp Creek Falls at Tonto National Forest in Cave Creek, AZ. This 2.8-mile out-and-back path features sandy walkways and a gentle incline, leading adventurers into a beautiful waterfall. Owners are encouraged to ensure Fido is comfortable with hikers and fellow four-legged companions, as this trail is highly trafficked by outdoor enthusiasts and horseback riders.

Bring Fido for a walk on the pet-friendly Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona, AZ. This 3-mile unshaded loop can be a challenging trek, but provides excellent views of red rocks, canyons and more.
