Pet Friendly Densons Creek Nature Trail
Densons Creek Nature Trail Densons Creek Nature Trail is an easy, 2.2 mile hike in Uwharrie National Forest that will take about 1.5 hours to complete with Fido. This 53,000 acre national forest is only an hour east of Charlotte and offers nice woodland, lakes, and rivers. This particular trail is one of the shorter in the forest and provides ample shade. Please note that dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. See Details
Pet Friendly Purgatory Trail NC ZOO
Purgatory Trail NC ZOO The trail begins at the north end of the Zoo's North America Region parking lot and extends a mile to the top of Purgatory Mountain. The first 1/8 mile of the trail is accessible for wheelchair users with a wide, level gravel-paved path. This portion ends at a service road (please do not walk down the service road to the parking lot). The Purgatory Trail then continues uphill to the top of scenic Purgatory Mountain and is a fairly easy walk. Dogs are welcome and must be leashed at all times.
