Jomeokee and Sassafras Trails Jomeokee and Sassafras Trail is a moderately easy, 1.5 mile hike in Pilot Mountain State Park that will take about 80 minutes to complete with Fido. These two trails both offer great vantage points of the 200-foot lone rock mountain. The Jomeokee circles the entire base of it, while the Sassafras lets you get a look from a distance. This Preserve is roughly 130 acres of natural landscapes and wildlife habitat and features a pristine hiking system. A little over two miles, the trail combines the serene natural surroundings and terrain, but also incorporates relaxing stops along scenic vistas.
