Lake Norman State Park is great place to hike and explore. There are a total of four trails to hike on and three picnic areas throughout the park. Boating, swimming, and fishing are allowed at the state park as well. Dogs are not allowed in swimming areas, but are allowed everywhere else as long as they remained leashed.
