The park features two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado. Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times, and may not go on any trails or in the backcountry, or inside any buildings. Dogs can explore picnic areas, roads, and campgrounds, but cannot go more than one hundred feet from them.
