Dog owners must keep their pets on a leash for the entirety of their hike and must clean up after them. The trail is very rocky, so dog owners are advised to stop often to check their pet's paws. They are also advised to know their pet's hiking history and end their hike at the basin, not the very top of Flatiron. Owners should bring along extra water for Fido!
