New Pet-Friendly Hotels: June 2024

June brings six hotels that are opening their doors to furry guests for the first time. From coastal California to Upstate New York, Fido can rest his paws at these newly pet-friendly accommodations across America this month.

Sea Sprite Oceanfront Hotel

Steps from the Pacific Ocean, the recently renovated Sea Sprite Oceanfront Hotel provides four-legged beach bums with a laid-back spot to crash for the night. Bright, airy rooms and suites are outfitted with hardwood flooring, bistro-style dining tables, mini refrigerators, bathrooms with walk-in showers and private balconies. Property amenities include complimentary WiFi, sundeck patio seating, a 24/7 mini market and discounted bike rentals.

Located two blocks from the hotel, American Junkie serves delicious burgers and pizza on its dog-friendly patio.

Kanuga Inn & Lodging

Hidden among 1,400 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Kanuga Inn & Lodging is the ideal destination for canine adventurers. Cozy rooms feature hardwood floors, work desks, mini refrigerators, free WiFi access, private bathrooms and shared balconies. Fuel up each morning with a complimentary breakfast, dine at one of three on-site restaurants, exercise in the 24/7 fitness studio, and go swimming or boating in beautiful Lake Kanuga.

Drive five miles east to visit the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site. Fido is allowed on the farm and trails, but not inside buildings.

Aloft Orlando Lake Nona

One of the newest additions to the fast-growing Lake Nona Region, Aloft Orlando Lake Nona specializes in offering stylish pet-friendly accommodations. Loft-style rooms include hardwood flooring, sitting/living areas, writing desks, mini refrigerators and bathrooms with walk-in showers. Enjoy a drink at the on-site bar, dine in the hotel restaurant, shoot pool in the lobby lounge, work out in a state-of-the-art gym and go for a dip in the saline outdoor swimming pool.

Furry art critics can stroll through the nearby Lake Nona Sculpture Garden, home to one of the world’s finest private art collections.

Aloft Orlando Lake Nona welcomes pets of any size for an additional fee of $50 per pet, per night (not to exceed $150 per pet, per stay).

Residence Inn by Marriott Wenatchee

Nestled on the banks of the Columbia River in the shadow of the Cascade Range, Residence Inn by Marriott Wenatchee is a scenic escape for visiting pups. Suites designed for long-term stays contain sleeper sofa living areas, work desks, and full kitchens with refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and pots and pans. Guests can take advantage of the lobby convenience store, on-site restaurant, fitness center and indoor pool.

Located just down the road, Wenatchee Valley Brewing Co. welcomes pups in its spacious outdoor seating area.

Bailey Lodge

Rocky Mountain mutts will feel right at home at Bailey Lodge, a rustic basecamp perfect for fishing, hiking and biking trips. Warm, inviting suites are equipped with living areas, small dining tables, microwaves and mini refrigerators, HDTVs and fireplaces. Cast a line in the 2-acre trout pond, splash around in the seasonal outdoor swimming pool, and grill steaks in the covered barbecue and picnic area.

Slip on Fido’s hiking boots and explore the nearby 15-mile-long Brookside-McCurdy Trail that winds through Lost Creek Wilderness.

Bailey Lodge welcomes two dogs up to 60 lbs for an additional fee of $25 per night.

Based in the heart of The Hudson Valley, Homewood Suites by Hilton Poughkeepsie provides pups and parents with all the modern conveniences required for a restful stay. Roomy suites feature sleeper sofa sitting areas, dining tables, and full-sized kitchens with refrigerators, dishwashers, cooktops and microwaves. Enjoy excellent amenities such as a complimentary breakfast, on-site fitness center, indoor swimming pool, and terrace lounge with fire pits and grills.

Dig into authentic Mexican cuisine on the dog-friendly patio at Salsa Restaurant, located within walking distance of the hotel.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Poughkeepsie accepts two pets up to 75 lbs for an additional fee of $75 (for stays of 1 to 4 nights) and $125 (for longer stays)
