Water Front Cabin on Nolin Lake

This 4-bedroom vacation rental in Bee Springs allows pets of any size for a fee of $60/stay, plus the standard cleaning fee of $175/stay. All pets must be approved in advance.

Kuttawa Harbor House

Kuttawa Harbor House allows one dog (30 lbs or less) per select guest room for an additional fee of $20 per stay. An additional pet may be permitted with prior management approval. Guests traveling with dogs should advise the innkeeper at the time of booking.

Cumberland Falls State Park Campground

Leashed pets are allowed in the campground at Cumberland Falls State Park. Dogs are allowed on some, but not all, trails at Cumberland Falls State Park. For more information on pet restrictions, please call (606) 528-4121.

E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park

Let your pup enjoy an off-leash romp at Sawyer Dog Park, located in the E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park. Sawyer Dog Park offers six acres of grassy space, divided into separate areas for small and large dogs. The park also offers two gazebos, shaded areas, and water for dogs. An official Louisville Dog Run Dog Park Permit is required to use dog park.

Brown Park

Bring your pet for a lovely stroll through this pretty Louisville park, which has plenty of shade in summer.

Louisville Riverwalk

The Louisville Riverwalk is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Louisville! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Louisville Riverwalk. The Dirty Tease is a dog-friendly t-shirt shop specializing in custom tees made while you wait. They'll put (almost) anything on a shirt! They have several pre-made dog-themed shirts, too. Dogs must be on a leash.

Dinosaur World

Dinosaur World is the name of three outdoor museums, one in Plant City, Florida, one in Cave City, Kentucky, and the third in Glen Rose, Texas, where visitors can see up close and life size the amazing creatures that once ruled the Earth. Life sized models of dinosaurs welcome families and classes to learn, have fun, or just enjoy a quiet encounter with the lifelike animals. Friendly pets on leashes are always welcome!

Almost Home Boarding and Training

Almost Home Boarding and Training offers overnight boarding for dogs, cats and exotic animals. Their dog runs are 14 ft long x 4 ft wide, totally indoor with 2 outdoor fenced yards for potty breaks. Dogs are taken outside at least 4-5 times a day, alone. Cats are in a sound proof room with a 2 story condo that is complete with a view to the outside bird and squirrel feeders. Other services include, Dog Day Out, Daycare Our Way, & Grooming and Training classes. Dog Day Out is available Monday - Friday for a half or full day.

Barktown Rescue

Barktown Rescue is a foster-based rescue centered in Bardstown, KY. They were founded to help the dogs that are forgotten in the shelters and help the community re-home their dogs before they are taken to the shelter. They help make sure the dogs get the second chance that they deserve, and offer adoptions and place dogs into available rescues all over the country in order to save their lives. In the past 12 months, Barktown Rescue has saved over 600 dogs. Their immediate and ongoing goal is to save the lives of as many dogs as possible.
