Karen will speak about her organization, Animal-Kind International, which supports existing animal welfare organizations in poor countries. Currently their partner organizations are in: Armenia, Bosnia, Honduras, Jamaica, Ghana, Malawi, Namibia, South Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The aim of the organization is to spark and enhance interest, awareness, and action in developed countries about the attitudes and treatment of domestic animals in less developed countries with the aim of raising much-needed funds for AKI's animal welfare partners. Animal-Kind has already established network of animal welfare organizations in less developed countries, which are committed to working at the community level to change attitudes and behaviors towards animals.
