Colts Neck Dog Coursing and Pet Fair

Performance Canine Association (PCA) in conjunction with the Colts Neck Department of Parks and Recreation (CNREC) is announcing the first Colts Neck Dog Coursing and Pet Fair to be held on Saturday October 16, 2010.* We will be inviting not only dog and cat rescues and local shelters, but horse, exotic bird and small animal rescues as well. Unlike the usual pet fair, the organizations invited to participate in this event will be given the opportunity to share in the entrance fee to the event. ** This event will not only promote animal adoption but will educate and demonstrate to attendees how to participate in animal-human interactive sports and activities. There will be a polo demonstration by the Colts Neck Polo Club as well as demonstrations and possible participation for dogs in lure coursing, agility and tracking. On hand will be evaluators to certify pre-trained dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen® certification and The Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, pet assisted therapy program.
