Fall Four-Footed Frolic

WILDWOOD, MO — The Frolic Inn (formerly Vinroc Kennels) invites dogs and the humans that love them to high-tail it over to the Fall Four-Footed Frolic, Saturday, October 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It’s a day of tail-wagging fun for the whole family at the Inn’s 40-acre site in Wildwood. Events include behavior demonstrations, a Growl & Howl Pet Costume Contest, face painting for kids, pet photos, hayrides, and many other activities for the pets and their families. Rescue dogs will also be on-site, ready to shake paws, lick faces and sniff out good prospects for a new adoptive home. Admission to the event is $5 per family or one bag of pet food to support Stray Rescue, Dent County Animal Welfare Society (DCAWS) and Canines in Crisis Inc. The Fall Four-Footed Frolic marks the grand reopening of Vinroc Kennels as The Frolic Inn. Kristen Madlinger, co-owner of The Frolic Inn and self-described animal rescue freak, explains, “Over the last three years, we’ve expanded our kennel facilities to include nature trails, animal daycare, and a Japanese garden for smaller pets. But we’ve also expanded our focus to show our concern for all dogs — including those that need a second chance to find a loving home. So while this day marks a rebirth for us, it is really intended to celebrate the entire four-footed community.”
