This class focuses on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog’s natural sense of smell by using their desire to hunt and their love of food or toys. This is a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy and to find out just how good is your dog’s nose. Dog breed, size, age doesn't matter. This class is great for dogs that need a lot of mental and physical stimulation but have a hard time in classes with other dogs. Dogs will have an opportunity to build confidence in new environments, and working around obstacles without the stress of interactions with other dog. What does a dog learn in the fun new sport of K9 Scent Work you ask? Ultimately your dog will develop: A desire to search for something you want them to find, A willingness to search for it when you want them to, and An ability to communicate to you that they have found it.
