WinterFest Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake

Mark your calendars for WinterFest Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake! This dog-friendly event will be held from 8:00 AM–11:00 AM on January 30, 2027 at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC. Admission is free for spectators and $45 per person to take the plunge. Visit Website

If you're attending the Blowing Rock WinterFest with Fido, don't miss the annual Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake! Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators to watch brave human participants take a daring dip into icy waters. Spend the weekend in a dog-friendly room on site at Chetola Resort! The plunge starts at 10 AM and plungers must be checked-in by 9:30 AM.
