Dog Events Near ORL Airport

All Sighthounds and their humans are invited to enjoy a fun, leash-only community walk and celebration. The morning kicks off with a walk along the Orlando Urban Trail toward Lake Highland, with route options of ¼, ½, or 1 mile. Dogs must be on standard leashes (no retractable leashes or prong collars). After the walk, enjoy an after-party featuring adoptable dogs, raffles, live painting, a photographer, a kissing booth, dog pools, and food and drinks available for purchase.

This dog-friendly Halloween 5K welcomes runners and walkers with or without their dogs. Participants receive a T-shirt, finisher medal, doggie charm, chip-timed race bib, live results and finish-line treats for both humans and dogs.

Barktoberfest is Orange County Animal Services’ rescue appreciation event that serves to celebrate the partnership between OCAS and the rescue community. The event will feature dozens of local pet rescue groups with a variety of pets available for adoption, including different breeds, sizes and ages. The event will also feature food trucks and vendors.

Leashed dogs and their families are invited to enjoy a festive morning stroll through the lush, 50-acre landscape of the gardens! Browse the Doggie Boutique for treats, toys, and pet apparel, enter your pup in festive costume contests, and pick up a complimentary dog bandana while supplies last. Hall-O-Ween canine costume contests start at 10 AM.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.
