Barks and Bites: BeltLine Doggie Crawl
Does your dog love the BeltLine? Then they’re in for a real treat! Bring Fido out for his very own one-mile restaurant crawl. There will be tasty pup snacks at each stop as well as small bites and a craft beer or soda for humans. There's a drawing for a fun prize on every crawl, and you'll get lots of giveaways from local and national dog businesses. This event is for adults 17 and older.

Pups in the Park Days
On select dates throughout the year, leashed dogs are welcome on the farm! Dates for 2025 include April 5 & 6, May 3 & 4, July 5 & 6, September 27 & 28, October 25 & 26, and December 3 & 20. Enjoy a day of outdoor fun together at their ag-venture farm fun park, but please note that pups aren't permitted in Lucky's Barnyard animal area, the strawberry patch, the corn box or on the jumping pad. Dogs must be well behaved, current on vaccinations and on a non-retractable leash at all times. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance!

Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival
Leashed dogs and their families can explore over 100 vendors offering outdoor art, gear, and services, as well as enjoy live music, craft beer, local wines, and diverse food options. The festival also features free fly-casting instruction, insights into local kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking opportunities, and the Trout Trot 5K run spanning two states and a historic steel bridge. Additionally, the Toccoa River Tagged-Trout Fishing Derby runs from March 28 to April 26, offering participants a chance to catch tagged trout for prizes. The event is rain or shine.

OneWorld Canine Obstacle Run
Bring Fido out to this fun and challenging canine obstacle race for dog and handler teams. Early packet pick-up and live music will be held Friday. On Saturday tackle the 4-mile course featuring over 30 purpose-built obstacles throughout tough terrain. Running without a dog and with multiple dogs are also options. Throughout Saturday the event area will feature vendors, food and beverage options, games, live music, demos, and more. Sunday Funday will certainly offer a tail-wagging good time as well! Tent and RV camping options are available so you can experience the entire weekend of fun.

Blue Ridge Freedom 5K
Leashed dogs, walkers and runners are welcome to this fundraising race in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge. Sip and Play will have a doggie water station to keep furry runners hydrated and cool, and will be selling mimosas and bloody Marys to enjoy after the race. Angry Hops will also be open after the race. The most spirited runner awards will be given to the most creative red, white and blue dressed runners. Awards will be given for 1st through 3rd for overall male and female, masters male and female, and age groups in five year increments. Dogs welcome at the back of the pack and not in the registration/packet pickup line on race day.

The Great Ape Escape 5K-ish
Leashed dogs are welcome at this unique, untimed fun run taking place at the Project Chimps sanctuary! Participants will walk, jog or run along the scenic, hilly course that winds through the 230-acre property, offering glimpses of retired research chimpanzees in their forested habitats. This event provides a rare opportunity to visit the sanctuary, which is not typically open to the public, while supporting the care of over 80 rescued chimps. Along the way, attendees can enjoy interactive educational stations, learn about chimp conservation, and take part in fun, family-friendly activities. The race is designed to be inclusive for all fitness levels, with no pressure to complete it within a set time. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt, and participants are encouraged to fundraise to further support Project Chimps' mission. The event is rain or shine.
