Does my Lab need medical attention?

My 2yr Lab Tessa is smells very different and the odor is intense. Her hair fall is also showing some abnormality. I didn't feel so bad about the odor but when my friend gave me visit, she only mentioned about the odor, there was something different. Now, she is left outdoor in her outdoor shelter and only allowed to the garage. I had to call in residential cleaning service to get the house an odor free and dog hair free treatment, to finally fix it.
I had the feeling it is age related, but now it doesn't seem like.
